Jill has worked as a primary school teacher in government and independent schools for over 30 years. She trained as a Virtues Project Facilitator 16 years ago when it was recommended as an excellent resource for teaching values. Her passion for using the 5 strategies of The Virtues Project to develop character has taken her to state, national and international conferences. She has conducted workshops for hundreds of schools, parents groups, day care centres and community organizations.
Between 2002 and 2007, she collaborated with a partner to bring the Canadian founders of The Virtues Project to Perth to conduct extensive workshops, lectures and retreats on four occasions. She has attended the World Mentorship Conferences for Virtues Project Facilitators in Auckland in 2004, Queensland in 2006 and Victoria, Canada in 2008, Halifax in 2011and Auckland in 1012. In 2005 she was given the honour of being appointed a Master Facilitator for The Virtues Project in recognition of the significant contribution that she has made to The Virtues Project. In 2009, Jill coordinated the Global Virtues Project Mentorship Conference in Perth.
Jill now conducts workshops to enable participants to become Virtues Project facilitators and she works with people who wish to use The Virtues Project to support their personal, family, school, work place or community development. She coordinates the Perth Virtues Project Connection Group and she also uses the strategies to enhance her work as a Marriage, Funeral and Naming Celebrant and in her work as a private tutor to primary school students.
