Technology, Effective Teaching and Wellbeing

(Friday keynote presentation)

Les considers himself an early adopter, a persuader but not necessarily an easy pushover when it comes to thinking about technologies. His talk will feature how technologies, current and on the very near horizon might influence how we think about teaching, learning and bringing out the best in ourselves and others.

About Les

Les Posen is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society and a practicing psychologist since 1983.

He currently specializes in treating anxiety disorders, and exploits a long and abiding interest in technologies by employing those at the cutting edge to assess and treat anxiety. These technologies take him on treatment paths other psychologists fear to tread - Biofeedback, Virtual Reality and Smartphones and tablets.

Les also conducts workshops for psychologists on improving their practices and workflows using technologies, and is currently in his third term as President of a Melbourne-based Computer user group.
