A New and Open World for Learning

 

As technology becomes increasingly pervasive in our lives, how do we prepare our students for their future? What are the hottest trends in education technology? How do administrators and teachers keep up with concepts like flipped classroom, blended learning and game-based learning? This talk will also take a look at the role Google can play in Education, and showcase some of the web-based tools to encourage collaboration and creative thinking.

 

 

About Suan

 

Suan Yeo heads up Google’s Enterprise Education efforts in Asia-Pacific, covering 48 countries in this multi-diverse region. He is responsible for promoting the adoption of Google technology at the institution level for schools and universities. Suan is passionate about Educational Technology, and is constantly advocating for collaborative learning, open access and innovative experimentation. He is a lifelong learner, and firmly believes that no child should be left behind in education.

 

A Google veteran of over 10 years, Suan most recently managed the Enterprise SMB business in Asia-Pacific, growing annual revenues to $15M in 3 years. Prior to that, he managed various teams in the Ad Sales organizations, pioneering teams and offices in Europe and Asia. Starting in Mountain View (Google HQ) in 2002, he’s moved to Dublin, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore and now lives in Sydney with his wife and 2 kids.
