Are you involved in the leadership or implementation of Wellbeing or Positive Education in your school? In this practical, engaging and relevant workshop, participants will learn how they can influence the wellbeing of all members of their school community by building PERMAH (positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, accomplishment and health). It is for those people who are looking for an effective way to make wellbeing practical. It will demonstrate numerous ways to apply positive psychology and wellbeing to your school context. These ideas will enable participants to influence and lead the implementation of Wellbeing or Positive Education more effectively. Participants will be empowered to be a potent change agent, who contributes to the continued wellbeing and thriving of their school community.

About Luke

Unleashing Personal Potential (UPP) founder and Director, Luke McKenna is an educator and author who specialises in working with schools to build growth mindsets, grit, wellbeing and leadership for all students. UPP facilitate incursions for more than 30,000 students annually in order to help them learn, live and lead better. Over the last 10 years, Luke has worked as a classroom teacher, middle leader and Assistant Principal. He has worked with educators and students across Australian Primary and Secondary schools from the Independent, Catholic and Public sectors.

Luke holds degrees in Business and Education, a Masters of Educational Leadership, and a Professional Certificate in Positive Education. He has spoken at The Positive Schools Conference; Griffith University's Professional Development Network Conference; and ACU's Advisory Conferences in Canberra and Brisbane. His work has been published in the Australian Journal of Middle Schooling, Happy Schools and The Positive Times, he is the author of "Thrive: Unlocking the truth about student performance" and also the recently released “Making Wellbeing Practical- An effective guide to helping schools thrive.”
