Professor Jan Fletcher will present and talk about managing DYSLEXIA

Janet is a Professor in the School of Psychology and Director of the Child Study Centre at the University of Western Australia. Janet’s work as both practitioner and academic has involved children with a variety of disabilities. Her major research interest in recent years has been in exploring the relationships between language, literacy and social and emotional development. As a member of the Child Study Centre team that holds an ARC-Linkage grant with the Department of Education and Training she has been looking at ways of training parents to support their preschool child’s early literacy development through carefully designed games and activities.
