Wise Solutions is proud to announce that BUZ - Build Up Zone, an initiative of Nurture Works, will be presenting a trade display at the Positive Schools 2009 Mental Health and Wellbeing conference.

 

What is Nurture Works?
Nurture Works is a community-focused organisation established over 8 years ago to promote, implement and further develop a number of BUZ (Build Up Zone) programmes and initiatives. The initiatives have been introduced into primary school campuses as well as being accessible to families and children in the community. The programs have successfully provided children with comprehensive skills to understand, improve and manage personal and group relationships, bully-proofing, self-esteem, conflict resolution, regard for others and in general, building essential personal life skills. The fact that Nurture Works now employs 6 people and is currently being implemented in schools around the state demonstrates the regard in which its programmes are held and the adroitness of its management. 

During the past 8 years the programmes have grown in all areas of nurturing as well as geographically covering the South West, Perth metro and wheat-belt areas. Over 50,000 children have been directly influenced by BUZ programmes and initiatives. The Director Mr Steve Heron has had more than 25 years experience organising programs and working with our young people. He is highly regarded, as an innovator and a leader in his field. The ongoing and growing connectedness of Nurture Works to the primary schools of Western Australia, the children and their collective societal well-being has the potential to contribute enormously to improving our communities.
