Wise Solutions is proud to announce that OzChild will be presenting a trade display at the Positive Schools 2009 Mental Health and Wellbeing conference.

OzChild is a not-for-profit organization which aims to enhance the opportunities and well being of children and young people especially those who are disadvantaged or at risk.
OzChild has a history of helping children which dates back to 1851. Today, the organisation is continuing to build on this strong foundation, with around 170 staff and 400 volunteers.
We run multidisciplinary and culturally aware programs across a range of areas including foster care, family support, disability, education and outreach services to improve the quality of life for children:
- in the family
- when unable to be with family
- in school
- in the community.
We integrate contemporary knowledge of healthy child development and are committed to protecting and building futures for Australia’s children.

OzChild is a national organisation. Our Head Office is in South Melbourne, near the site of the Melbourne Orphan Asylum which was established in 1854. Children, youth and families in the Southern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne are looked after by our services through our offices located at Dandenong, Frankston, Mornington, Cranbourne and Pakenham.
Our Outreach programs operate in Melbourne, country Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
Dedicated staff, volunteers and carers carry out our mission as we continue to grow and seek new ways to make the future better for Australia’s children.

OzChild is a national, not-for-profit community service organisation and has Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) taxation status, which means all donations are tax deductible. Our ABN number is 90 680 959 928.
History
OzChild is Australia’s oldest independent children’s welfare organisation with a history of helping children since 1851. Today’s organisation was created in July 1993 when three long-established child welfare agencies - Family Action, Family Focus and The National Children’s Bureau of Australia amalgamated to form Children Australia Inc. which now operates as OzChild.
