Creating Contextual Wellbeing in Schools

This workshop aims to help every student to flourish at your school through the development of Contextual Wellbeing within the whole school community.

‘Contextual Wellbeing’ is a state of flourishing (health, happiness, and positive engagement in learning) that arises from membership of an equitable, inclusive and cohesive environment.  The ‘Contextual Wellbeing’ model provides a framework for understanding how four interrelated domains support Contextual Wellbeing within the student community of your school.

These four domains are comprised of:

Grounded in David Cooperrider’s Appreciative Inquiry framework, this full day workshop will explore both the power of social context and the generation of Contextual Wellbeing across all four of the model’s domains. You will be encouraged to ‘dream’ the ideal social context for your students in each domain, and to ‘discover’ existing factors that generate Contextual Wellbeing in your school community.

It has often been said that it takes a whole village to raise a child, I believe it takes the whole, healthy school context to help a child to flourish.   Contextual wellbeing matters because every child matters.
